What Historycanvasx does, and who it's for
Historycanvasx is a residential and commercial real estate agency operating exclusively along Kenya's Coast region — primarily Mombasa Island, Nyali, Bamburi, Shanzu, Likoni, and the Diani corridor. We work with three distinct groups of clients: individuals and families looking to buy or rent a primary residence; landlords seeking to let property with a structured process rather than informal word-of-mouth; and investors — both Kenyan nationals and diaspora buyers — building income-generating property portfolios on the Coast. We do not operate in Nairobi, Central Kenya, or upcountry markets. That geographic focus is deliberate: it means every team member has a detailed, current picture of price movements, planning conditions, and infrastructure changes within a radius they can drive in an hour. We believe that narrow, deep expertise serves our clients better than broad, shallow coverage.
How the team works — process, values, and what seven years teaches you
Historycanvasx was founded in 2017 by a team of two surveyors and a property lawyer who saw that Mombasa's market was being poorly served by generalist agents copying Nairobi pricing models onto Coast properties. Since then the team has grown to twelve people — agents, a resident valuer, a lease administrator, and a market data analyst who tracks transaction records monthly. We have completed over 320 transactions and managed more than KSh 1.4 billion in total property value. Our internal process for every engagement starts with a written intake brief, proceeds through documented milestones, and closes with a signed handover record. We record every consultation, store every document in a client-accessible portal, and send fortnightly written updates throughout active transactions. Speed matters — but not more than accuracy. When Lands Registry delays or title complications arise, we flag them the same day rather than waiting for you to ask. The azure-trust palette in our office and marketing materials reflects that value: clear, calm, no clutter, no noise. We aim to run our client relationships the same way.
